THE man who suffers because of having premature or premature ejaculation may need to look at other factors causing this problem, namely genetic factors.
From a study conducted on nearly 200 Dutch men found, the climax too quickly during intercourse is closely related to a version of the gene that controls the hormone serotonin. Men who have this gene version ejaculated twice as quickly than other men, according to the study reported . "Levels of serotonin controls the speed of ejaculation," said the scientists from Utrecht University in the journal Sexual Medicine.
Not in the mind The volunteers in the study done Dr. Marcel Waldinger, about 89 experienced premature ejaculation. For a month they asked the female partner using a timer at home to measure the length of time ejaculate during sex. The results were compared with 92 other men who had no such problem. In men who experience premature ejaculation, serotonin levels appear less between nerve section of the brain that controls ejaculation. Dr. Waldinger says this low activity of this hormone means nerve signals that are transferred. "This finding contradicts the belief so far that say that premature ejaculation is associated with a psychological disorder." he said.
reactors The findings also imply that this condition is likely to be solved with genetic therapy. Paula Hall, a sexual psychotherapist says "Premature ejaculation is definitely not just a psychological matter." However, he said there could be a psychological element. If this problem occurs with their partner then it tends to be psychological. "This problem is an accelerator reactor ejaculation." In these people, said Paula, they have quick reflexes. "They might be good at playing tennis or computer games, for example." Paula insisted that the evidence of serotonin is associated with ejaculation is a good sign. That way, scientists can develop drugs to prolong the action of this hormone. There is currently no cure for this condition. Treatment still using antidepressant medication (not for depression but for unwanted effects because of delayed ejaculation is) and counseling. A third of men in the world said to suffer from premature ejaculation.
